Personal Collection of Woods

Paduak is usually crimson in color (this wood is not as bright red as it appears), it does oxidize over time and turns toward a dark rich purple-brown over time.  It is a hard wood, very similar in density and sound to BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD...the best substitute that is not on the CITIES list!  Many people might not want a guitar with a red back and sides, but it has a very nice Rosewood sound - good for the daring and VERY reasonably priced.
